Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman is an American gymnast who was an athlete and captain of the 2012 Fierce Five as well as 2016 Final Five US Women's Olympic gymnastics teams. Aly Raisman took home three gold medals during the 2012 Olympics at London. She also took home a bronze medal on the balance beam. As a result, she was the very first American to compete at an Olympics who had the most amount of medals. Her gold medal in the Olympics in 2016 marked the second consecutive gold for the US team. This made her, together with her teammate Gabby the first Americans to accomplish this accomplishment. Silver medals were also awarded for the all-around competition as well as floor workouts. The break was for three years between each Olympics to not compete in gymnastics. Also, she was a one of the gold medal winning American teams at the two World Championships. Her favorite event is the floor workout. The gymnastics training began at the age of two years old. Aly has a strong support for the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organization to honor her mother who died due to cancer. She hopes to become fashion-forward and increase the range of her leotards and socks in the very near future. She is writing a book called Fierce which will come out in the coming months.
